Put on the computer what the public asks for, not everything about the US.

I asked for a total medal count. I have been looking for 20 minutes and still cannot find it.

I also asked for a specific medal count for a specific country and got a history of when they first started to compete in the Olympics. I asked for a medal count for 2018, as of today,

not a history of that country.

The tracker list needs updated because Whistle bought Tagg in 2015. The older Tagg devices still on Amazon.com don’t work with the newer Whistle hardware. Whistle and Tagg are the same and have been since 2015.

Bought the Whistle 3 tracker. It never worked – would not connect to the ATT cellular network and I live in a area with a decent ATT signal.

Same problem as previous person. Whistle 3 NEVER worked with the cell service, even in an area with good ATT coverage. My old TAGG was great….Connected with Verizon.

Customer service tried multiple things to make the unit work…I ended up returning it.

I have a Whistle GPS, which worked fine until about the time they came out with the Whistle 3. Now I’m having trouble getting breech notifications. The TAGG worked great until they came out with Whistle GPS – I hope I’m not seeing a pattern here. We bought TAGG and Whistle GPS because they worked on Verizon’s network. We don’t get reception from AT&T in our area. Not sure what to do now…

Mhya is a fantastic female Labrador-cross rescue dog. She has a very good character and lots of enthusiasm for meeting new people and other dogs.

Having the tracker has been really helpful to keep us reassured of her whereabouts during the walks, and to quickly follow her around when she gets a bit too enthusiastic and adventurous for her own good!

We have spent many days and nights searching for Tammy. Christmas day was ruined when she decided to chase and run off. She once spent two days on Ilkley moor and travelled through the town centre on a busy Saturday. She even used to be able to get over a 6ft fence and swim in the fish pond next door! We bought a different tracker first that didn’t work and then saw the PDSA site recommended your tracker…. AMAZING.

We lost her in France and UK and found her instantly using the app and it was an absolute godsend. If we had an escape artist dog again I wouldn’t hesitate to get another one. The dog tracker nano is absolutely brilliant.

It works fantastically and the App is great, totally recommend.

I can’t tell you how much the Nano Dog Tracker has changed our walks. We have two Cockerpoos who love chasing rabbits, deer, squirrels, birds and anything else that moves. Our daily walks would usually involve us spending more time calling for them and searching through the woods than actually walking. As soon as we started using the Nano we could relax and enjoy not only our usual walks but also new walks.

The Nano doesn’t stop the dogs from enjoying themselves in the woods and we can see where they are and find them easily. In fact, now they usually come looking for us as we don’t call them back as frequently as we used to! I can’t recommend the Nano tracker enough – worth every penny!

We really use the tracker a lot. Leo is a 13 year old JRT, slightly deaf with a wandering instinct. Should really keep him on the lead these days but he does like to do his own thing. When you least expect it he is off! He doesn’t travel far off the route but having the tracker shows us where he is.

The tracker is that ‘peace of mind’ for us.

Our dog walker ‘lost’ him twice (not her fault!) and it was only because of the tracker that we found him. It really is an amazing bit of kit. Other dog walkers often ask what it is and I always show them the app and say how great it is.

I thought I’d share my views on GPS collars to help anyone thinking of making a purchase. We have had Smoocher almost 2 years and in that time have tried a variety of ways to monitor his location. The first was to use Tigger2 our Labrador, but he is easily distracted with other dogs or smells, so proved ineffective. I then bought a TKstar tracker off Ebay but this was awkward to setup and very unreliable. So before driving to Portugal for our latest hols, we bought the Dog Tracker Nano; which is easy to use and has a great app to show where he is in relation to you. Definitely worth the investment to takesome of the stress when he runs out of sight!

Approaching 18 months of use and the Nano has provided us with confidence on our woodland walks. Does not take much for our small man to disappear in the undergrowth, having a location fix on him means we do not have to worry. We recently had 3/4G network added in our area which now means the app is a breeze.

Fast running dogs

I have just bought our first Nano. I must admit that I was a little sceptical but since I have been using it for the last 10 days I am delighted with the performance. I am using the 10 second roaming SIM which is worth the extra as our Wire Haired Vizslas are quite fast moving. Until yesterday I had just used it for walks, but I tried it on one of the dogs while we were out shooting. Mobile coverage in the area is not good but I had a complete record of the dogs track. It is interesting to see how she tackled the different ground. The whole unit seems very robust. In all a very satisfied customer.

After the great customer service and the product reliability it was a must have product. 100% recommended. The peace of mind it has provided has been beyond our expectations. Seriously, if you have any concerns about your pet’s location, you must try it

Our dog, a large Labrador, likes to chase hares and Muntjac. Once he is on a scent he is unstoppable. At the end of November the Nano became a life saver. I have my Nano set up to simply track Izzy, my black Labradoodle, who disappears into the blackness of the early nights & late mornings. Where’s my dog? Hiding! Deliberately defying my calls to come back indoors while clearly within earshot, according to the satellite images. She’s busted: very funny, but also a massive relief as previously I’ve fretted that she’s wandering down the middle of the Bath Road. It’s great to see this working & my initial review is this is a Godsend. Can’t wait to set up the pin drop perimeter which should be useful as our land is an odd configuration. She’s a bit of a tart when in season, so this will be particularly invaluable at those times…

Thanks to The Nano, we have Monty back. He got spooked this morning and took himself off on an adventure and we were able to track him, jump on a quad bike and get a rather shaky boy back home.

Developed in Switzerland, Petpointer is a GPS tracker combining state-of-the-art positioning technology with Swisscom's cutting-edge communications to create a unique product that provides peace of mind for every cat- and dog-owner 24/7.

Localisation with petpointer

The GPS and LBS localisation technology in the petpointer makes it possible to pinpoint the location of your pet down to a few metres. Location thus determined is continuously sent to your smartphone, tablet or desktop PC via 2G mobile network in over 200 countries.

How petpointer works

Positioning

The latest-generation GPS chip in each petpointer uses three satellite systems to locate your pet. This optimises positioning, even in the most difficult conditions.

The world's smallest animal tracker

The petpointer is the smallest of its kind with its dimension of 2.3 cm x 5.8 cm x 1 cm and can be attached to any pet-collar. This ensures your pet enjoys full freedom of movement.

Outdoor-proof

The Petpointer housing is constructed from a particularly high quality, robust and waterproof (IP67) plastic making it completely safe to use outdoors.

Battery life

The very latest battery technology, combined with a highly sophisticated energy management system, guarantees the longest possible usage time. A battery-life of 3-5 days can be expected with a transmission frequency of once per hour.

In over 200 countries

Petpointer sends its data via 2G mobile network. This network is used in over 200 countries. Therefore, petpointer accompanies you on your vacation as well. However, due to the fact that 2G network does not cover all areas, user should clarify concrete 2G coverage previously.

A quick-release closure mechanism on cat collars is extremely important so as to prevent the risk of strangulation or entanglement. The STMZ developed its own cat collar with a weight-sensitive self-opening safety catch, similar in principle to a ski binding, so as to prevent serious accidents.

The petpointer was developed and tested in Switzerland by HergTech AG in conjunction with the Schweizerischen Tiermeldezentrale, positioning specialists from leading Swiss universities and various engineers from the watchmaking industry.

The petpointer is also produced in Switzerland to ensure the best possible quality. The highest quality GPS location services are also ensured from our communications partner, Swisscom.

The Schweizerische Tiermeldezentrale is a domestic non-profit organisation. It is dedicated to finding and returning missing pets in Switzerland and operates and free database which collects and compares around 20,000 lost and found reports each year (stmz.ch).

The STMZ cooperates closely with the authorities, vets, animal shelters and various animal-protection organisations. The STMZ has more than 24,000 volunteers in Switzerland who help the organisation to locate, transport and if necessary house lost or found animals for short periods.

What animals are particularly suited for petpointer?

Petpointer is suited for cats and dogs of all kinds.

Is petpointer damaging to your health?

Petpointer turns itself off between the short time it takes to relay location information. No transmition, no standby, nothing. A small internal clock wakes the device briefly at pre-programmed intervals while the petpointer determines its location and transmits this information. In this moment, new instructions can be given to the petpointer with regard to the frequency of the position determinations. These messages are then deposited in a kind of "mailbox" until the device wakes up. As soon as the "mailbox" is emptied and instructions implemented, the device turns itself off again.

This approach was selected as the least strain on the animal. The moment of transmission corresponds to making a short call on a mobile phone.

However, as making calls for hours on end is not necessarily very healthy for us humans either, we recommend setting the location query to take place every one to two hours. This then lasts only a few seconds.

Certainly, more intensive tracking is interesting while getting to know pet pointer and determining your petвЂ™s regular route, however this is not recommended over the long term, meaning over several days. For this reason, so-called "Full Tracking" and вЂњTracking every 15 minutesвЂќ is limited in time.

Are collars dangerous for cats?

The safety clasp is a very important element for cat collars as it prevents the collar becoming a trap. In order to remove the risk of strangulation or entanglement with the front legs, the Swiss Central Animal Registration Office, STMZ, developed its own safety collar a few years ago and has been steadily continuing its development. The collar is unique to the present day.

Together with engineers of the watch and clock industry and various veterinarians, a collar was developed which can be individually adapted to the weight of an animal in a similar way to a ski binding. It releases both sideways and lengthwise and can be precisely adapted to 200 grams. This collar was tested by the EPFL. Unnecessary accidents can be prevented with the cat-life cat collar.

Can a similar chip be implanted?

Again and again we get the question of whether one could simply implant a chip with the same function. This is not possible for various reasons:

The technology for tracking and transmitting is (still) too large. Petpointer uses the world's smallest possible elements and still needs about 14 cm2 for this!

If you want to determine a location and then forward it to a central server, this requires energy. The batteries suited for this product are still much too large for implanting and totally unsuitable. In addition, this energy source has to be recharged over and over again.

Does the mobile provider play a role in the service?

The user's provider is irrelevant in that petpointer stores its data on a server. This data transmission occurs on the mobile telephony network through machine-to-machine (M2M) technology, for which Swisscom is responsible. Local providers will be used when abroad. This information can then be accessed from the server via a smartphone, laptop or PC at any time.

In which countries does petpointer work?

Why do I need a Wi-Fi connection?

Wi-Fi serves a few very important functions for Whistle 3 and is designed to give you the most comprehensive and accurate tracking:

During activation, you will be required to setup a Wi-Fi network associated with your pet's Place(s).

It allows Whistle 3 to quickly upload activity and location data about your pet so you can view your pet's latest info with the app on your smartphone.

When your pet’s Whistle is connected to Wi-Fi, we know they are safe.

When in Wi-Fi, Whistle 3 is in power save mode, preserving battery for when your pet leaves their Place. In power save mode, you are not able to track your pet as it is assumed they are safe when connected to Wi-Fi.

Why do I need a subscription plan?

Whistle uses America's largest cellular network for on-demand location tracking anywhere in the U.S. if your pet gets away. Each device requires a subscription plan to work, and you will be prompted to select a plan when activating your Whistle 3 (options start at just $6.95/month).

When will I select my subscription plan?

You’ll be prompted to select your subscription plan when setting up your device on the Whistle 3 app. Subscription plans start as low as $6.95/month.

Does Whistle 3 only come in one size?
